Introduction
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to install Meeting Schedule Assistant (MSA) on a MacBook Air M1 using CrossOver. These instructions were kindly shared by one of our users and are designed to help others get MSA running smoothly on macOS.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Download and Install CrossOver
Purchase CrossOver from their official website and install the .dmg file on your MacBook. - Start Installing .NET Framework
After installing CrossOver, click the Install button (with the plus sign). Search for Microsoft .NET Framework. - Choose the Correct Version
Select version 4.8.2, which has a 4.8-star rating and is marked as Runs great. - Understand CrossOver Bottles
In CrossOver, every application runs in a separate environment called a bottle. You'll create a new bottle for this installation. - Install Microsoft .NET Framework
Once you've found the .NET Framework in the CrossOver database, begin the installation process. - Proceed Through Installation Dialogs
Click Next through the dialogs. When prompted to restart, choose Restart later. - Repeat Restarts During Installation
The installer may run through a few versions of the .NET Framework (usually about three). Continue choosing Restart later when prompted. - Prepare to Install MSA
- After .NET is fully installed, proceed to install the latest version of Meeting Schedule Assistant.
- Download MSA
Visit the Meeting Schedule Assistant website to get the latest version. - Install MSA in the Same Bottle
Install MSA inside the same bottle used for .NET Framework. You may want to rename the bottle after installing MSA. - Locate and Install the MSA Executable
In the .NET Framework bottle, click Install Here, then locate the MSA .exe file you downloaded. Proceed through the installation prompts. - Use Windows 10 32-bit for Compatibility
Ensure the bottle is configured as Windows 10 32-bit, which provides the best compatibility with both .NET Framework and MSA in CrossOver. - Run MSA on Your MacBook Air M1
Once installed, you should be able to run MSA (32-bit) successfully on your MacBook. Remember to regularly check for updates to the software and schedules.
